Default Half Door Solution

So we all got our new JK only Quadratecs this week and while I was flipping through mine on the toilet I noticed Bestop makes a tube half door.

They are the Highrock 4x4 Element Doors

They come in three installments to make a complete half door with soft upper

The tube door:

The door cover:

The soft upper:

Has anybody seen or used these. Any reviews. I talked with a guy from Quadratec and he said they were great but I wanted to ask some JK guys on the forum to be sure this was a good idea. I like em, but I don't want to drop $800 and not like the end result.

More importantly anybody have these and want to sell them? Used are fine. I'd prefer them just powdercoated... I kind of like the matte black look.

Thanks in advance guys.

A couple of us have drooped the money on the older ones and the uppers sucked. From the install manual it looks like they have addressed this. The door handles are quirky at best. The weather strip around the doors does not do anything, but that can be addressed as well.

I do like mine for what they are.

I have the doors with fabric only, no uppers. Running them most of the year as my "permanent" doors. No complaints other than the latches are a little hard to open...door pockets are a great touch....lots of storage. Would definitely buy again

It would be nice to be able to see a product before you buy it. Isn't it?
I just finished with my dimond plate half doors from warrior ( ordered from quadratec.com) and i am not happy with the final result. Probably because my jeep is green they just don't look that good on. Now i will sell them for $500 if i am lucky.
There is pic in my gallery. Good luck with your project.

So you're saying that the weatherstipping won't keep out rain? And from the pictures I didn't see any weatherstripping around the bottom of the doors but maybe I just can't see that well when it's black on black.

I am not sure how well it would hold the pains. It's aluminum made to look like stainless steel.
I am just going to wait to win the lottery so i can order me factory half doors.
I think it's around $6000 for all 4. or something like this.
