Hard Top Insuilation
It's been 103+ for two weeks in Laredo and 108 as the hottest day this year.
The hard top absorbs a lot of heat ... has anyone come up with a solution?
Worst case scenario is painting the hard top white since my jeep is white, but I'd love to see more options.
Any solutions?
Any pictures?

I'm toying with the idea of painting mine white too. I also considered having a sign or graphics shop install a sheet of white vinyl on the roof to reflect some of the heat. Not sure how easily it will go on with the textured surface though.
I did the same thing to cover the gigantic glass sunroof of my MINI Cooper.

If you got the X aparently a True AC is optional
i was gonna get my Jeep until the salesmen told me this, and he wasnt BSing me. If u turn the knob all the way cold its not AC, and that its an actual extra to get the little snowflake button that makes it true AC and extra cold, so i got a Jeep with that
If the coldest reading ur getting in 62, and you got a Jeep with the little snowflake button thing, take it back to the dealer and have them fix it cause when mine is on its frikin cold, haha

And I agree if you're only getting 62 at the vent I would at least have the dealer check it out. I know in the high 90's here last summer it took a while to cool inside but I'm sure the vent temps were lower than that (seat-of-the-pants feel).
As far as insulation, seems there are a couple write-up on it here. And I think someone makes an insulation pad for the hard top. Sorry I can't remember who it is
That top does get super hot
