i havnt had a car seat in mine, but i think there is room. They fit very nice and close to the front seats. And two full size adults have plenty of room.

If you put that harness bar in a 2 door, it would be pretty close to impossible to get a car seat in or out of the rear seat anyway..

For reference, Graco Snugride 40 in a '12 2 door.

I'm 5'7 and that seat is at full stuff. I picked up the older, non reclining seat base since I took this picture and it gives me a half inch between the driver seat and the car seat. Better, but it's still a challenge.

You need to wear a 4 pt seatbelt to drive a baby around? How about skipping the harness bar? And while you're at it, get a full cage that actually does what it is designed to do. Bolting nice stuff to crap, results in nice looking crap.

There is a bung that can be used that would make the bar removable, so if you really do want the seatbelts, you can out the bar in when you wheel.
