I have seen one in person and several people who have done the same thing you are thinking about. It seems that bedliner spray doesn't affect the headliners. You could always just spray the exposed areas and leave the area where the headliner goes clean with no bedliner

Default Dupli-Color

I used the Dupli-color roll on bed liner. I figured it would be thicker than the spray on. I didn’t notice any temp difference. But it does look way better than the white!

Any problems taking off or putting on the freedom top panels since you did the bedliner?

I was wondering this myself because I am wanting to do the same thing to my hardtop before I put it back on.

I sprayed mine about two weeks ago with the Dupli-Color bed liner and have had no problems with it. I left them dry for about 24 hours before putting them on.

Won't help in any measurable way. You need two things to reduce the heat; a radiant barrier which will be either metallized foil or a paint containing metalized ceramic made especially for the purpose, and a thermal insulating barrier using either foam or airspace. The radiant barrier goes against the the inside of the roof followed by the insulator.

I let it dry for a few days, then re installed. It works great.
