Default Harness bar, no back seat passengers?

Here's the story. I was single, had harnesses in my jk and they mounted where the stock rear seatbelts go. Fast forward 3 years to present day and I have a wife and 7 month old. So I needed a back seat back in my jeep, but wanted to keep my harnesses. So I installed a harness bar!!! Quick fix right? I added a backseat and attached the seatbelts to where they originally were and attached my harnesses to my harness bar, now I just put my seats back in my jk after the harness bar install and I'm thinking that big azz steel bar in front of my back seat cannot
Be safe.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to have a harness bar and have backseat passengers safely?

I don't want to hear sell the jeep lol worst case ill get a new DD an jeep the jeep for just 2 person trips. Please help! Thanks!

I have seen many cages with harness bars and they are still running rear seats. You could always add some padding on the bar, but i feel with people in the back wearing seatbelts It would be safe and I wouldnt worry about anything.

I was thinking making rear harnesses so that if in an accident they wouldn't have much room to go forward to hit the bar, where as a normal seat belt lets your upper body move significantly
