So you can't just go out to a store and buy a generic manual shift knob and screw it on?

OK guys some of you may like these.

htt p://www.koolknobs.com/

He makes these custom order as well as custom CNC adaptors . I have one of his on my F350 for over 8 years now and love it. He molded one with a rattle from a rattle snake for me, he an OK dude too.

I contacted him last year about my jeep I just did not know the dimensions of the shaft. If you just tell him jeep he'll think the old style shifter. As some of you may know I currently only see my jeep twice a year and when I have been home other things have taken priority for me.

I'm talking about a simple aluminum sleeve with threads for the knob on top which slips over the factory shaft and either is glued on or a couple of set screws. There is a pic of one on the samples page of he website. If some was kind enough to measure the shaft to a .002" and give any odd dimensions for me i'd be .

Its made for using a line lock to lock the front brakes, it might be possible to use it as an overdrive switch though
