Default Having hardtop painted color match

Anyone had their black hardtop painted to match body color? I am going to do it, and just wondering what it will cost me.

Going to be a lot of work. You'll have to sand it all down really well to get rid of that rough texture, which will be a pain in the ass.

Not true. mine is painted and it looks great and has lasted almost 5 years so far. I prepped it by rubbing over it with rough steel wool washed it and sprayed if with color matched paint. It still has the factory texture.

Ya well we assumed he wanted that smooth out of it, if you don't there's no need to do anything but clean

I am going to let a paint shop do the work. Just curious what it will cost. If anyone has had it done.

I'm thinking of doing it. Friend of mine works in the factory that makes the tops. He allowed the texture sanded off easily. I call bs but I'm getting ready to find out. I'll post up

I thought of doing this myself a while back but didn't feel like the hassle of taping all the windows or the expense of paying someone else to do it all.

If I could get out for $1,000.00 with a really nice job done, I would be happy.
