Default Hawk Brake Pads - LTS, HPS, Ceramic???

Looking to buy some Hawk brake pads for my 2010 JKU. Running 37s with quite a bit of extra overall weight added. Looking for best stopping power and extended wear. I'm on Quadratec and see 3 different kinds - LTS, HPS and Ceramic.

Which should I buy and why?

Thanks!

LTS they supposedly have the highest cold friction (initial bite) these are the ones I am going to get down the road.

Anyone else want to chime in? Sorry it's not the 1000th "how much lift for 35?!?11" thread! Lol

LTS- cold stopping power x2 - don't need the rest unless you race your JK.. which i doubt
most other compounds are for high temp braking which is not the case for JKs

If you definitely are set on the Hawk pads the LTS are the way to go.

You also might want to look into the EBC pads. We can get some great deals on the "Green Stuff" pad. However the "Yellow Stuff" might be a better option for you, they are significantly more expensive but well worth it.

PM us for a quote.

I use the Hawk LTS pads on my JK. They really are a stand out quality brake pad. I really like the minimal brake dust they produce too.

I read that Hawk pads come without clips and the lil ruber covers that wear out...

Do you know what kit/parts I should order together with the pads to be sure I can install them ?

I put hawk LTS pads on my 2012. They produce more dust than any brake pad I have ever used. They stop fantastic, but my rims get completely coated with dust. Maybe I got a bad set? The tears don't get too dusty but the fronts are ridiculous. I hate them and will not buy them again. (Though they do stop much better than the Oem pads). I've had the LTS on front and rear for about 11,000 miles. My Jeep is basically stock.

The hawks come with just the pads and some grease. I've got a brand new set of fronts in my toolbox waiting for installation.
