Default Hawse fairlead shape

Is the backside on a Hawse fairlead machined with a rounded edge around the line opening, the same way it is on the front?
I can't tell from the pics on vendors sites.

Some yes some no.

The one he had made for us has the "beveled" edge on both sides

Like David said, some yes, some no. I own two aluminum hawse fairleads...one is beveled on the back, one is not.

If you line up your failread properly with you winch (and the line is spooled properly onto your winch) there is not realyl any need for bevelling on the backside.
