Default HD tie rod and steering question..

So I just installed an HD tie rod. It made my steering much tighter. So tight in fact I am worried about it putting extra stress on the box/pump. Is this possible from just a beefier tie rod?

Also does anyone out there make a more stout drag link?

dont think it should be making your steering much tighter, did you check to make sure your stabilizer isnt rubbing when you turn the wheel?

rock krawler also makes a heavy duty drag link

Did you get rid of the esp prob? I can see how it made it tighter, less flex in that bar compared to an oe one. Don't see how it'd put more stress, probably less on the box.

Teraflex also makes a heavy duty drag link. All of the Teraflex products that I have dealt with have been very high quality! I have the Teraflex heavy duty drag link flip kit with frame brace and it really tightened up the steering.

Question

I think it's tighter because the one I bought is chromoly and has heavy duty greasable tie rod ends. You can't even pivot it by hand. Made the steering much tighter and better but was just worried about the box since it now takes more effort to turn. The steering stabilzer is not rubbing at all and I got it aligned so the ESP is off now.

Thanks. Seems good to go now. As far as the drag link, all I see are flipped ones for 3 inches of lift or more. Does anyone make one that can replace the stock one but is more stout?
