Default header/o2 sensor/code question

my lift installer just finished my RK long arm lift. He had to cut the exhaust what looks to be mid header, after the collector but before the Cat on the drivers side. He doesn't feel comfortable fabbing the piping needed to go up around the long arm bracket so he wants me to get the jeep to a muffler shop. the muffler shop is 5 miles away. Can I drive the jeep in its present state or does it need to be towed? if its simply going to throw a code, I have the super chips flashpaq for clearing codes so I'm not worried about that. What if any damage could be caused by driving with the exhaust dumping pre cat on one side?

ive run cars like that for a good amount of time with just straight long tube headers off the block. some people say you can burn a valve like that though
