Default header wrap on intake tubes on rugged ridge snorkel?

I I'm thinking of using header wrap on the steel intake tube on the rugged ridge snorkel. The location seems to be close to the exhuast manifold n think it will draw the heat n wrapping it should help keep the air cooler n add a little protection from debris.. and one did it ? What u guys think?
