Default Headers?

Is anybody out there running a set of headers? I'm looking at the short style Gibson headers at Quadratec. I want to wake my 3.8 up a bit with a CAI, headers, and a cat-back exhaust upgrade. For the CAI and exhaust I'm looking at the Banks system. Specifically, I'd like to know if the headers make a worthwhile difference and are there any problems with gaskets blowing out or header flanges warping. My totally stock JK is my daily driver, so I'm looking for better power and mpg without too many headaches. TGIF!

Read a lot about issues with after market headers and heat issues.

I know Im going to need some sooner than later but i don't need wires melting or other adverse effects. One thing i have never seen is new cats for a complete new exhaust system. They have headers and cat back systems, but what about between the lines.

Sorry to be that vendor - but short tube headers do more bad than good - RIPP headers are the only headers that actually make power -

FedEx just delivered my Ripp headers today. They will be installed within the next couple weeks. Pretty excited!!! I have a SC tuner too but bought the kit with the Diablo tuner. I'm just going to set mine back to factory with the SC and use the Diablo. All the reading I have done would suggest the Diablo tuner would be better for my situation because Ripp has their tune on there for the headers.

X2. Shorty headers will provide minimum gains over stock. Long tube is where its at for exhaust scavenging
