Default headlight adjustment after lift

I have had my lift on for over a year and my jeep isnt my daily driver but when i drive at night i know i piss a lot of people off that i meet on the road. They must think im running my brights i assume because i lifted 4" and its shinning right in there eyes! Do most adjust the headlights down after a lift? I really dont care if i do it or not but if they are easy to adjust i will but im not sure how or if i can. It is just something i have noticed driving at night.

You should always adjust the headlight angle after a lift. It is pretty easy to do on your own with some basic tools, or you can have a shop do it with alignment equipment.

from another member, real easy to do:
Adjustments for headlights are Pass Side at 11 o'clock and Driver Side at 2 o'clock. Takes a Torx Bit (T15 size) Counter Clockwise is headlights down and Clockwise is headlights up.

With a 4.0" lift and 35" tires I went 3 turns Counter Clockwise.

Hope this helps.......

This is a kinda technical read.......but easy to follow. The height chart is useful.

Did you have to remove the grill to reach the screws?

No you have to use a skinny screwdriver torx bit , it was either a #14 or #15 that I used. Some people have been able to use a small phillips head and it worked.

After my lift people kept flashing their brights at me so I adjusted mine down. I don't remember how many turns I gave it. I just had the headlights shining against the garage door and moved till I thought it was enough. No one flashes their brights at me any more. It is super easy to adjust.

Same way I did it, eyeballed it against the garage wall, moved them down a few inches, went and tested out on the road.
