Default Height.. I want it!

I want some more height! When I had my first JK I drove it stock and it was fine. Now that I have my first JK lifted I want more. I currently have a 2.5" Teraflex suspension lift and Kelley 33" tires.

So it was suggested to me that I could add a 2" body lift. Good or bad idea, would it look proportionate or would I need to increase tire size or would you leave it as is?

I'm running 4.5" with 37s, I think 33s with that much lift would look a Lil odd

2.5 and 33s should look ok. If you're going any higher. I'd go 35's. Also I personally wouldn't go higher than a 1 or 1.25 inch body lift. It creates an odd looking gap.

I'd stay away from a body lift. You get the height and higher center of gravity without any of the performance benefits of a real lift. A buddy of mine has a body lift and he hates it! It came with his used Rubi and he's about to remove it and install a Rock Krawler 1.5 since it's a 2 door on 35s w/ flat fenders and he doesn't want that big ol' gap.

I don't see any real issues with a small body lift.

It is an easy fix if you need a small bump in lift for additional clearance. But to much lift for the sake of lift..isn't necessarily a good thing.

If I were looking to go with a body lift. I like the MORE aluminum 1 inch. Just a preference.

If you're set on a body lift, aluminum would prob be a good choice! Some of my buddy's spacers have compressed over time making it very uneven!

He also had issues with his 6-speed shifter and even the gas cap from the body lift. YMMV.

Thanks to all that replied!

After giving this some thought I believe that I'm going to leave the height where it is for now. And when money is available just do the full suspension lift and bump up the tire size. Ultimately that's really what I want.

If my memory serves me correctly I can bump up to a 3 1/2 inch lift and 35's without affecting the mechanics.

I like it with a lot of room over the tires. This is 5 1/4" with 33" tire.
