Default Hello Everyone!

Just got my Wrangler and going to be throwing some fun stuff on it and looking for advice from enthusiasts like you!
It's an 08 Sahara Unlimited 4x4 with Infinity Sound.

Suspension:
Looking for a modest 2.5" lift without having to change any major compnents in the drivetrain.
Currently debating between the AEV JK DualSport XT Suspension 2.5 or the Pro Comp 2.5" Lift Kit with ES9000 Shocks.

Wheels
Pro Comp 7069 or MT Classic II with Goodyear or MT 32" tires (Still researching different sizes and what would best suit my needs)

Exterior
Warrior Safari Sport Roof Rack (Having trouble finding much info or reviews on all the different rack manufacturers)
Still trying to locate an external gas tank & mounting hardware that I could store a few emergency gallons in.

Electronics
Kenwood DNX6160 or PIONEER AVIC-Z140BH ($1000-$1200 price range)

Any insight or guidance with regards to these parts, companies and the well being of my Wrangler in general is much appreciated.

Looking forward to talking with some of you and getting acustomed to an SUV and the Jeep Community!

Here's a few of my previous cars that I've modded to the hilt!

My advice, stay away from ProComp for anything involving a lift kit...shocks, springs, anything. The AEV kit is good, Rancho makes good kits, RockKrawler, etc. Just dont go with ProComp or Skyjacker, haha

For a lift dude id stick with something round the 2-2.5 area, keeps you clear of having to worry about your front driveshaft..

That's something I read about which is why I want to atari below 3"on the lift. I'm not committedTo dumping endless money into it just yet hahaha.

Thanks for the heads up on pro comp lifts, I'll stay away. Are their wheels in the same category or do they hold up well?

Welcome to the forum... As you will find out and be told many a time the best place to start is determining what you want to use your Jeep for; mainly on street, for looks, terrain off road, difficulty of wheelin', time spent off road, etc... Then determine the max tire size you plan to run, then you can start looking at lifts/mods to accomplish your goals.

Hope this helps

Welcome! Do yourself a favor, and your wallet.... Do alot of research on here before u buy a lift. There are tons of threads about the aev lifts, and others u might want to read up on before u open ur wallet. And stay away from pro comp lifts and skyjacker stuff. Most likely u well end up fixing stuff and spending more money in the long run than if u did it right from the get go.
Good luck with the jeep man!
