Default Hello, i am a Newb

Hello all, not only am i an newb on this forum, I dont even have a Jeep yet. I have been a member for a year now and this is my first post. I am currently in Afghanistan as a contractor, been here and Iraq for 3 years now. I did 10 years in the Army as a 11B (mortar men) and a 33W (Military Intel/satcom).

I have put together a build sheet for my jeep, i looks to be 20g in parts. One main problem I have is that i am over here and cant just buy and put on all the parts, I would like to post it and see what people that have a Wrangler Unlimited think i need to add or take away from the list. What tread would I put a build sheet in to get the most traffic?

Remember i dont have a JK yet... Will order/buy one when I am home on leave in NOV. There might be some major things missing from the list, before I post it I am not sure if all of the web sites are on this forum so do I just put a space in the address so it does not link or leave it out?

Front,

Rear, (with skid plate, upgraded rear sway bar)
offroadevolution.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=EVO-DOUBLEDOWN-REAR

I have read some on Anitrock may not be what I am looking for quote from their website “This sway bar may be used on the street, however, it will not provide the same performance as the stock setup.”

Axle;

Gears,
4.88? From what I have read going up to a 35” tire I need the 4.88 so as to not lose rpm/mpg. (They do not have to be from this web site just a link for reference)
jeep4x4center.com/product-information.asp?number=D44488XR

Front axle gussets,

Axle Shafts,
rcvperformance.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=43&osCsid=81

Lights;
Led upgrades
Head lights, (I have read a lot about how poor the reflectors are, I know the LED lights work because all the HMMWV and MRAPs use them here) Let me know what you think.
rdmoffroad.com/7-round-12v-led-headlamp.aspx

Tail lights,
riverraider.biz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=47&products _id=133
(i would have to see how they looked)

Body armor,

poisonspyder.com/prod-jkbodyarmor.php
(18-08-410 JK 4-Dr Body Armor, Steel, with 18-08-310 Rubber Liner, JK 4-Dr Body Armor)

Bumper Front,

Benchmark Designs with stinger, I have to PM then about it when I get my JK.

Bumper Rear,

Benchmark Designs (see posts further down thread for pics!)

There are no Fenders on this current list due to the fact that I am unsure of the width front and back and don’t want to be out of regulation in PA. I would love to see some w/ armor for the corners like;

Front,

poisonspyder.com/prod-jkfrontcrusherflares.php (w/ LED)

Rear,

offroadevolution.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=EVO-ARMOR-FENDERS-REAR

Tires/Rims;

35” NITTO MUD GRAPPLER x5 Or similar
Rims,
Stock if they can be used with a 35” tire.

Trans, Drive shaft;

Tom Woods drive shafts.
rockcrawler.com/techreports/JB_Wood_crosstrainer/index.asp

Exhaust;

Ripp Long tube with High flow cats

Magnaflow, exit between wheel well and tire (like a HMMWV). I don’t like the way some guys just end it under the body, I would like it to exit out of the body, plus
PA requires it to exit the body.

Tune/Speedo calibration;

Flash of computer for recalibration for bigger tires, tune for better throttle response.

AVE
aev-conversions.com/products/procal_module/

Superchips (nothing really on the website of what it does to the JK but from what I hear it is a good one)

superchips.com/default.aspx#pn=OnlineStore&vsc=true&vfid=1218

Pro Comp ACCU
project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-ups/pro-comp-accu-pro-jeep-jk-wrangler-speedometer-odometer-calibrator

you get the point…

Supercharger

rippmods.com/2007_2009_Jeep_Wrangler_JK_V_3_Si_Trim_Intercooled _p/0709jk-sds-01.htm

As you can tell from reading some of the parts for the front are from a different company then the rear, I think that the mix and match of the parts looks good together. On that note the finish might very, let’s call that character!

This is all I have right now, more to come
