Help!!
Okay, I'm trying to replace my steering stabilizer. I've gotten the nut off at the wheel end of the stabilizer, but how, in the name of Zeus' butthole do you get the ever-lovin' bolt out?!?! It seems to be held quite firmly by the bushing.
I've tried a C-clamp, channel locks, lubricating the crap out of it and tapping it out with a hammer. No love.
Help, please?

Soooo.... Three Dremel cutting discs and a lot of swearing later it's done. I had to cut the stabilizer off the bolt, cut the bushing off the bolt, then had to cut the crush sleeve off the rusted bolt too. So far new stabilizer seems good. I'll confirm tomorrow after some highway driving.
Sorry to chime in after the fact...next time try pb penetrating catalyst. It works really well on stubborn rusty bolts and other generally stuck stuff.
You can also try applying heat with a heat-gun. Sometimes the rapid expansion will crack the rust hold.

Just wait until you try and remove shocks that have been bolted in place for more then 3 years. Sleeves become one with the lower bolt.
Cutting the heads off and pounding them through doesn't even work. Requires extensive use of a powerful die grinder.
