Default Help!

Recently got a 2012 2dr sport wrangler, it's only a few months old & I need some ideas to mod it when I get the money, but I wanna keep the price down under at least 800. Should I go with a 4" or 6" lift?

Go 2", 3" or 4".
What is the final tire size?
Going to 37's (and sometimes 35's) require strengthening the front axle, C-gussets etc.
What are your goals, light trails, rock crawling or looking cool (nothing wrong with this)?

Look for a complete kit, with new springs and shocks.

You can get more tire under a JK with less lift than previous Jeep models, you can also cut the stock fender flares.

You will need to address the exhaust up front as well with either a new DS (smaller diameter) or a new crossover pipe (we make one), exhaust spacers, or a whole new pipe...

Ask away!

Just wanna spend $800 for the lift only. There is gonna be a lot of extras if you go 6in. Will be extra if you go 4in too. And tires are expensive to.

2.5" teraflex coil spring lift w/Bilstein shocks from Northridge4x4 ask for Dave $775 can't go wrong with this lift at all. Especially if u order it for a 4dr u will probably get 4 to 5 inches out of it. I have a 4dr and got 3"

So you are looking to spend whatever dollar amount you want on the lift and then $800 over that. Do you have tires figured into the lift or the $800. If you are going 4 or 6 inch and your getting bigger tires it sounds like thats where that extra $800 is going to go, unless you have tires figured into the lift expense. Where do you have driveshaft costs figured into? At 4 or 6 inches your gonna need driveshafts. Personally I would cut your stock flares, run 35 inch tires and like a 2.5 in lift of some sort. Any particular reason that you are looking to run so much lift with 35's?

Well I was just thinking that if I go 4, then later on I will want it bigger. & I don't want to run anything bigger because I don't want to change any gearing. I plan on a daily driving with some rough trails every once in a while. But now that I think about it a 4 would just be fine with 35s. I'll upload a pic of what I have to work with later.

@BigSteve, the final cost for 35s + lift & rims is 3100. So do you guys have any recommendations for a good stubby front, & good cheap rear carrier?
