I'm running BFG 285/70/r17. I have had them on for about 3 months with no issues. This morning my tire pressure sensor went off for the first time ever. I check all tires including the spare and they are all at exactly 29psi. (More than enough for on road driving). Is this a coincidence that this happened after a night of 20 degree temps?

You may have to put a little more in them. I don't know where you have the tpms set but cold causes the air to shrink. Mine come on when I crank it up and go off when they warmup.

 

When ever there is a major fluctuation in outside temp/pressure, it always throws off the tpm sensors.

Mine go off at about 32/33 pounds. If you keep yours at 29 get a programmer to reset the computer and you won't see the alarm anymore unless it really is a low tire condition

 

My pickup does the same thing on cold days if I'm borderline on the pressure. You have already received good advice on here. Just put a couple my lbs in each. If I drive a little and warm them up it usually goes off for me.

 

Buy the AEV Procal and lower the tire pressure setting and problem fixed.

 

I hear if you drop below 35psi it could come on. That sucks. I'm not running 33s that high.
