Default Help: Bad orange warning lights - ESP and BAS

So I put the 1 3/4" Daystar lift on about 1000 miles ago. About 300 miles ago I went with bigger tires (from 32"x10" to 33"x11") No problems until today. (Seemed like the steering wheel was still centered when I was done, so I didn't fool with that setting.)

Today I went bouncing thru the woods and puddles. When I was done, and put it back in 2wd, as I left on a 35mph road, my ESP started engaging on every bend. So I turned it off. I drove about 15 miles on 55 mph roads to a ferry. Sat on the ferry for 1 hour, and then left and got on an interstate doing 60mph. After just a few miles, my esp warning light (the icon showing a jeep sliding) came on, as did orange text
"ESP
BAS"
Can't tell if that's 2 lights, or just one that lights up the upper and lower text.
I pushed the ESP button, and the sliding jeep icon went off, but not the text. Hoping it was dirt in the ABS sensors, I drove thru a carwash. No luck, text is still on. I checked my ABS wires on all 4 wheels, they all seemed fine, not stretched, broken, or rubbed.

Anyone have any ideas? I read quite afew threads that talk about these lights, but I can't find one that is really clear what the problem is, and what the solution is.

Do I need to have my computer reflashed for the bigger tires?
Its possible I knocked the alignment out today, might that do it?

thanks

thanks

I am willing to bet that if you grabbed a 15mm socket and made sure you steering wheel was totally centered your problems might go away.

No amount of flashing for tires will make the ESP behave properly.

I'll second that. I had to do mine after Friday's wheeling expedition and it took me forever to get it adjusted perfectly, but it hasn't come on at all since then. I'll probably have to do it again after I readjust my tow-in, though...

after wheeling check alignment, that will have a effect on the esp..... also the change of tires will confuse the computer.....everytime i have changed tire sizes, the light will come on and will go out after a bit of driving...if the esp starts engaging brakes alot take in for an alighnment......after i do a good bit of wheeling i can tell if the alignment is out just by how much the esp kicks on while driving on ramps etc............

I bought one of those firestone life-time alignment deals a while back, so I took it in today. Light still on for a few miles, but I shut it off and started up and its been out since. Moral of the story: banging your wheels on trees and rocks will screw up your alingment, but our cool JKs warn us when the alignment had been moved.
thanks.

i also agree on checking the alignment... there is also a nifty thread on here to show you how to disengage the esp quickly and easily with a switch. works like a charm
