Help with chosing a lift!
If you like TF, they make short arm kits that come very complete. going with their LA and bilstein 5100's will be good but not as good as coilovers. price wise, going coilover will be more expensive but, you get what you pay for.
I do. It looks like you are running a 2011 so I am not sure if you would have to address the same things I did. ( driveshafts and exhaust spacers)
The Evap skid has to be moved on the 2012s. The TF kit I got had the huge trackbar relocation bracket as part of it and if anything I think it may have overcompensated for the lift. I still need to check that, but the evap skid did rip the boot off my factory DS and now its a countdown to FAIL.
Overall the TF kit with the Bilsteins has been great. I added the Rough Country control arm relocation brackets for the front to add caster back in. The ride on-road is perfect. I would have thought off road I would get a little better performance over the "whoops", but aside from that, its solid. Great for crawling and really isolates the hard hits.
TF customer service is awesome! So was Northridge 4x4.
I would buy this kit again, but sadly, I am already thinking I could have gone to a 3.5" kit. But with that come enormous cost. I would at least have to buy adjustable CAs to go that high. Front AND rear DS would be a must and most likely new front and rear adj trackbars. Its not so much the springs and shocks as it is all the other stuff around it. One thing leads to another....
So....yes....I love this setup and I am happy with it.

Also sounds like offroad rise quality will be better with Shortarms and coilovers...but how does ride quality compare on pavement to that of LA's?...I hear that sort arm kits get squirrely ( is that a word) at highway speeds.
You tired of me yet...thx man
if you're gonna go with coil overs, all you really need are control arms, track bars, swaay bar links and drive shafts. i have installed and run TF, full-traction, currie and clayton arms and they all did great. i have no experience with RK arms but, they look like they would do the job as well. arms that are adjustable are what you want, rod ends or spherical joints are great to have as they allow for greater bind free flex and, having a set of bonded rubber bushings at the frame end will help absorb road noise and won't squeak. those are all great options.
i am no fan of radius arms.
short arms are only squirrely if you don't have enough positive caster. adjustable control arms will allow you to dial in your ride.
they were but are now a part of 4wheelparts.
