Default Help with dyno, need to lock into 2nd?

Hi I am trying to have the Jeep dyno tested to try and diagnose the really bad fuel consumption, on the dyno however we need to be able to lock it in 2nd (auto box), and prevent it from kicking back to first, which happens just before about 50% throttle position.

We need to get to 100% throttle position in 2nd gear.

How does other owners dyno test without worrying about this problem?

On the dyno you should be doing your runs in 3rd, your 1:1 gear. On a 6 speed that would be 5th. You can achieve this by turning overdrive off. Also you need the throttle blade at 100% not necessarily the throttle position at 100%.

It also sounds like your fuel consumption issues involves frequent kickdowns and that can be resolved by the appropriate gear set.
