Default Help with engine.

What can i do that wont break the bank to help with uphill driving. No matter the incline i have to downshift. Even on the highway. I have a 4' lift with 35x12.50 20's. Yes i know 20's. lets get past that.

Can i get some info on what people did to help this? Without gears?

Lower gears. 4.88 or 5.13.

Gears will give you the best bang for the buck. If you try and do a super chip, CAI, exhaust combo, you may go up 10hp, but it will cost you almost as much as gears and not nearly as effective.

There is nothing you can do short of regearing that will give you what you're looking for. I suppoes you could go with a good exhaust, headers, intake, programmer and all....but by the time you spend that chunk, you couldda regeared. It's likely that all that other stuff will not have even close to the same benefits as regearing. Save your money and regear. 5.13s will rock.

gears are the only thing that is truely going to help you, or maybe the new superchips programmer, from what I've read it seems it really does give better noticeable power, but thats 330 that could be put towards gears

Regearing is like adding two cylinders. For the same money, nothing else will do that.

I really need to regear as well. I am wanting to go 5.13's but the price of the labour is through the roof.
I have alot of tools and I am very mechanicly incline and am willing to take on most any project but gears are just one I don't know about and have been hesitent... is there a write-up on how to change gears to help guide me along?
