Default Help, EVO 44 mag, possible diff fluid leak

On the bottom of the axle tube it appears that some differential fluid is escaping from the plug welds(bad welds maybe?). It is not dripping out, the bottom for the tube continues to have a film of oil on it, appears to be diff fluid. It is not coming out the ends, there is no fluid on the Cs or anywhere near the end of the tubes. Am I going crazy, is this even possible? It seems to smell like diff fluid. Kind of stumped on this one.

This may sound stupid. But ill throw my idea out there.

Clean your entire axle of the diff fluid.

Duct tape a bunch of raised sections on your axle.

Take it for a drive. Find out which section is leaking to pinpoint the leak.

If it is a plug weld, take it back to the fabricator and have him fix it.

If you did the welding yourself, get a die grinder and grind the plug weld out and reweld it.

Not a bad idea! Im just trying to think of WTF is going on. The weld appears to be good, I do not see any cracks, etc. Even if there was, I dont see how the hell 75W90 could pass through , it would seem it would escape in areas of less resistence.
