Default Help. Exhaust extension issue after install

Installed the exhaust extension mod in conjunction with the lift. Now, when applying slight acceleration on take off in 1st gear, I am getting what sounds like an echo, or slight vibration from the exhaust. It feels as though it is coming from under the driver seat and I initially thought it was an exhaust leak. After tear down and reinstallation of the extension kit (spacers squared and retorque) the issue is still there. Occasionally, the noise will reoccur after shifting into 2nd. It only seems to happen under low rpm acceleration. What do you all think this could be and is anybody else experiencing this same problem? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Check to see if your exhaust is hitting the crossmember. Mine was and I needed to throw a few washers on that middle bolt to give more clearance.

Ok. After some serious digging and testing, I found that the spacers had pushed the exhaust back far enough that even with the rear sway bar drop brackets, the exhaust was hitting the sway bar. Moved up to the Y-pipe to loosen the exhaust clamp and slide the exhaust back towards the front. Low and behold there is a stop welded on the Y-pipe preventing the exhaust from sliding forward any more than maybe a 1/4 inch. Solution: cut off the welded stop and slid the exhaust forward approximately an inch. All issues corrected. I hope this may help anybody else that may come across this problem. Thank you for those of you who offered your solutions.

That right there is key. You have to remove that little weld to get a correct fit.
