Default Help. Flashpaq shift point mod

I searched the forum with no luck. I have a 2010 JKU (auto transmssion) and a superchips flashpaq that I currently use for the 87 tune. I would like to modify the shift point to a bit higher rpm. Has anyone done this? Is it possible with the tuner? I'm impatient and don't want to wait til Monday to call customer service and I'd rather not play with the tuner when connected to the onboard computer. thanks in advance for any help!

You will need to download the advanced transmission tuning option directly from Superchips to get that feature

I guess I'll be calling customer support. I couldn't find anything specific on the superchips web site about changing shift points.

They won't give you advice about tuning the transmission. It is more trial and error. There are several on here that have been making some good shift schedules. I need to start working with mine as well

That's where I am at right now. I am scared to mess with it because I am worried I'll break something. I also was told by superchips, they can't suggest a setting because of liability issues, or something. For those two reasons, I won't mess with that setting/tune. If they can't even suggest something in fear something might break... someone like me, knowing even less could create a catastrophic failure... Or something.

I wish I could take it to someone, or see a tutorial. But I haven't found jack.

I called customer service. The flashpaq 3875 doesn't have transmission modifications for a 2010 JKU. Hmmmmm. So I checked their website and it claims that the 3875 does have transmission mod capability.

johncantello, how do you like the 87 octane program? What changes did you notice from stock?

I noticed a bit more power upon acceleration. Not sure about any mpg improvements. I have tried to keep track over the past 6 or so tankfuls. I may have picked up some increase <1mpg, though. Since then I also installed a banks ram air intake and this weekend just installed the mbrp cat back off road exhaust. I will continue to monitor mpg. Overall, with all the mods listed above I do feel more power and a difference from stock. I just can't quantify it though.

I spoke with superchips and they do have a preset transmission mod that I will install and see If that does anything additive. They claim the transmission adjustments are "nothing drastic" and that's ok with me. I'll try anyway.
