Default Help: How to torque transfer case yoke nuts when not on Jeep?

I'm swapping in a Rubi T-case and it is currently not on the Jeep. I need to install the yokes and torque them. Obviously, if I try and torque one, the other will spin. My thought is that I can just use a socket and ratchet to hold one, while I torque the other one and then switch. Will that cause too much stress on the internals of the case?

Thanks!

The best way is to keep the yoke from turning with a steel bar bolted to it.

Either use an impact wrench, or wait until it is bolted to the transmission to torque them. You'll need to have it in 4wd to torque the front yoke nut. I just hit mine both with my impact wrench until there was no play. Be sure to put locktite on the nuts.
