Default Help a Jeep Newbie....

I bought a used 2008 Saraha 4 door last month. I am just getting used to it and I LOVE it! This jeep has had some mods, but has stock tires and stock wheels.

How do I tell if any lift has been done to it? Where do I look?

Consider me a 1st grader in "jeep knowledge" and give me a break I am trying to learn!?!

I will post photos if that helps. Thanks.

If it has stock tires and wheels, but a lift, then you should notice a lot (and I mean a lot) of open space between the fender flares and the wheels. Drive onto a dealer's lot and park near one of the new 4-doors, you'll be able to tell.
If it has a spacer lift like mine, you'll see the spacers at the top of the coil springs on each corner.

Aftermarket shocks could be a hint, but not proof that the jeep was lifted. Best way to tell is to look at the space in the tire holes.

you could always put up some pics. im sure we could tell just by looking at the components, side shot, underneath, suspension parts, etc.

+1 on the pics. Your best bet is to look at the springs. If they have a brand name or a puck on them then most likely you have a lift.

welcome! first thing you'll notice is that pics are ALWAYS welcome here. it helps us see what you're talking about or it can help us show you something that u don't yet know about. questions are answered quicker and more accurately and you also get to show off your rig. your best bet here is probably to get a shot like ddewar53 showing your coils and shocks. a shot of your front axle from the front showing the steering and suspension components would be good as well. if you're digging the shutterbug thing, then some shots at the 4 links on each axle that run slightly upwards and back towards the center of the jeep (when viewing from the side) would be good. i'm just figuring we could be looking for aftermarket control arms, adj track bar or track bar relocation bracket, and the obvious spring puck or aftermarket coils.

My question was answered in this thread. No lift apparently.

Here are your photos anyway....

It looks like the previous owner did mostly appearance mods. If you're more interested in off-road performance mods, there are plenty of people who will help you to Just Empty Every Pocket.
