My thoughts exactly. You need to determine everything that you want to do/use before deciding on a lift. I would definitely listen to the Planman!

Lifts are a piece of cake to install. That being said, If you need help with yours just ask your fellow JK'ers. You will be amazed at how friendly and willing to help we are. I think it's a Jeep thing

The first time I ever worked under any vehicle was earlier this summer when I put a 2.5" coil lift on my JK.

Looking back, it wasn't too hard, but there were a few moments during the install where I felt like I was in over my head. But it all worked out great. I'm a "hands-on" guy when it comes to learning, so getting under there and seeing everything really made things click for me.

Planman's questions are good, and will help people recommend which lifts you might want to take a look at, and if you'd want to try installing it yourself.
