Default Help with lift selection - have a height limit

I need some help with selecting a lift. My problem is that I work in a city and have to park in a parking garage. The garage has a height limit of 78". I am planning to run 35" Duratracs (which I know are less than 35", so I am making an assumption that the tires add 1.25" over my stock tires, which are 255/75/17).

My Jeep: 2013 2-door JK Sport S, manual transmission (stock - no extra weight). It is also a soft top. As it sits right now, I am at 73". Add the Duratracs and I have at most, 3.75", but I'd like to have a slight bit of room to spare.

From everything I have read in the forum, the actual lift height varies from what is stated, due to vehicle weight. I suspect my JK is about as light as they come. Ideally, I'd like to net 2.5" to 3". As much as I like Rock Krawler, I'm nearly certain I'll end up with too much lift.

From what I have come up with, it looks like my options are AEV 2.5, Teraflex 2.5, Rancho 2". I hear MetalCloak is working on 2.5" coils for the 2-door, but doesn't sound like those are in the near-term pipeline.

Let me know what you think and I would really like to hear from people with a similar JK and what certain lifts actually gave them. Thanks!

Rock Krawler is also working on a 1.5" spring, however the 2.5" spring will likely give you about 3.5" up front and 2.5" in the rear.

Take a look at our Facebook page and you will see our JK with the 2.5" X Factor Plus sitting on 35's. Our rig measures 74.5" at the highest point on the soft top.

My TF 2.5" coils gave me 3" in front and just over 2" in the rear. I have a 2dr and it made it sit level (no rake). I think you will be fine with that lift and still run 35" tires. The coils ride very smooth also.

I work at a 4x4 accessories shop and we are a authorized Rough Country dealer if you buy a Rough Country kit it will settle an inch and the springs are very forgiving so if your were to order the 3.25" lift for the 4 door JK (399$) it would give your 2 door 4" of lift and after you drive it around it would settle back to a 3" that's the route I would take its cheap and functional I'm running this set up and I love it with 35"s ill measure the height tomorrow and let you know

Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't wait for the coils to settle. At 4" I'd decapitate my Jeep the next day when I went to park. Haha

Thanks for the help. I'm thinking about going with a TF budget boost as a temporary solution until either MetalCloak or RK come out with a 2.5" coil for a 2-door.

I'd considered petitioning the city of Baltimore to raise the height on the garage, but I hear we have bigger issues to deal with...
