If the 08 was a DD then i would say upgrade to the 13 but since it's primary use will be trail rig build the 08. 10k will get you alot of rig. If done right you wouldn't need to spend the whole 10k either. Besides it's nice not having payments. Just build it and enjoy it.

I drove the 2013 and of course loved it... It has the 3:73's so it will need gears. I appreciate the input, I'm leaning toward the 2013 heavily. I have till tomorrow to decide...

I like the auto also... It makes the wife happy that she would be able to drive it. Hmm on second thought do I really want her driving it?

Ok, if I do get the 2013 I would be able to put 3k into it... what would be the best way to go? I actually got the difference down to 9k and can come up with 2k more = 3k in mods if I do go with the 2013.

I went from a built 2008 myself to a built 2013. I loved my 2008 but I so do not miss that 3.8 motor and the auto trans. Plus the upgraded interior IMO is so nice, but I would do the 2013 swap just for the 3.6 motor and new trans. Good luck.
