Default Help me identify this?

What is this box? It's on the driver side in from of my axle. Does it do something for a vacuum. My jeep is throwing emission vacuum codes:
P0440, P0441, P0456, & P0457
I can see one of the lines is ripped out.
Any input on this matter would be awesome.
Thanks guys!

That's the evap canister. Pulled lines will generate codes and a MIL.

All the codes you posted are related to the evap system.

This device is the EVAP canister
It is designed to prevent the 3.8 L engine from overpowering the tires. It also is mounted in the best possible location. Its placement allows it to take all the trail damage so that the delicate solid steel crossbeams connecting both sides of the frame dont get scratched. I have found it to be extremely good at both of those tasks.
