Default Help me plan for 35's

I'm looking to start saving up to run 35's.

I have a 2012 2 Door 6 speed Sport with 3.73's.

I'm looking to run some All Terrains, and probably get some that run a little short, hoping to avoid a re-gear.

I don't want to do this cheap. I know I want to sleeve and gusset my front axle.

What lift should I be looking to get? I know I want a bolt on, but I want something good for daily driving and wheeling every weekend (no boulders).

I'd like to keep my center of gravity as low as possible, so long as everything else clears. I'm game to get new drive shafts if needed.

Can you guys make some suggestions for me? I'm just making a ball-park guess at $3500-4000 total cost if I do the installs myself. It'll take me several months to save up, so I'm starting the planning now.

Google search is your friend, you need to do a lot of research and make a choice from there. You are going to get a million different answers on what lift you should use because most people think theirs is the best. I would start with what seems to be the most popular kits that all different forum members are using. In no particular order 1. AEV 2. Rock Krawler 3. Terra flex. There are a couple of long term write ups on the first two kits out there.

Maybe I could get flats, a 1.5 or 2 inch lift, and spend the money saved to buy some Air Bumps.

Any thoughts on that?

You are in luck. It won't be cheap! Price a set of five 35s on new wheels with proper backspacing. I guess cheap is very subjective. Lots of good lift kits for 35's. I went with TF, but a few others are rated very well and may be a little cheaper. Still waiting for a good deal on tires. I went with wheel spacers because I like the stock wheels and they suited my budget.

I love the stocker's too. I'm about to get some 33's put on to tide me over until I'm ready to do the setup for the 35's. I just think a 5 spoke wheel looks the best on any vehicle - truck, suv, sports car, luxury car, and of course the JK. Thinking about a gunmetal powdercoat. Guy offered to do all 5 for $350.

I'm taking my time on picking out wheels for the 35's...I'd like to get something that would fit a 35x13.50xXX. From what's available right now...I think i'd have to step up to an 18...ugh.

just put on 35's and I also have a 6 speed with 3.73's. It is not as bad as I had expected it to be and i'll probably not regear at this point.

What's your setup? Thats good to know...I'm at low elevation like you are, too. That makes a lot of difference. Even my old 5.3L Chevy had to gear down on hills when I took it to Colorado.

I don't have a jeep, but all the pictures I see with 33"s make them look small, it's almost like you need 35's if you want a beefy look.
