I would dump the idea of the goodyear "silent armors".

What's wrong with the SilentArmors? They've gotten excellent reviews on Tire Rack.

The Tire Rack crowd isn't the same as the crowd here. The guy who throws his golf clubs in the back of the Denali who once had to park his SUV on the lawn doesn't pass the laugh test as a suitable reviewer for JK tires.

That said, you're going to see a lot of varied opinions but I would say the safe standby AT tire would be the BFG. More aggressive for off road and trail use and splitting hairs for on road use.

I've had BFG AT's on my previous Jeeps and have loved them. I was set to get another pair for the JK when I found the SilentArmors. How loud are the AT's at 35" size?

IMO, when you bought a Rubicon, you bought a vehicle intended for offroad use. To put all-terrain tires on it seems like a downgrade. I'd find some MT's that suit your needs, but that's just my opinion.

Gears.

As for your other mods, I'd make some detailed measurements to see if I couldn't squeeze that TF lift instead of the RC that you mentioned, too. RC may be good, but from what I've seen here from TF, I don't think you can go with anyone better.

Gears.

The only other thing I can think of would be... gears.

They were the stock tires that came with my truck and I haven't had them for a while, but road noise was never an issue. For that matter, I didn't have any other issues other than wanting a better off road tire and opting for the Toyo OC MT, a mud tire with good on road characteristics and siped performs as well as most ATs.

This is my daily driver so I'm trying to avoid re-gearing as it would kill what little mileage I get. I know what you mean about the tires. The MT's that are on there are great riding but they tend to sing quite a bit at highway speeds.
