Masterlock makes a cable lock (called a python I think). It's cool because you can lock it at any length. So tight for just the tire and longer if you add more stuff. A contractor buddy of mine uses one for a bunch of tool. I use one to lock my hi-lift and shovel in the back of my jeep.

only thing i dont like about cables or straps are that if they really wanted your tire they will take industrial cutters and cut it like nothing i have a pair laying around somewhere and they cut chains like it was butter..

True, but then again, they'll take it right off your tire carrier as well.

Locks, cables and straps will just keep the honest people honest...

yeah they do.. ive seen them with locks where the bar that connects to the part bolted on to the jeep
