Get ace flat fender flares $600 or so (if I remember right), teraflex performance leveling kit $350 (again if memory is right) then you have about $2k for tires and rims. Then you have to fight the urge to regear, bigger lift, rear tire carrier etc. Remember: Just Empty Every Pocket!!!

And I second that. You'll blow through that 3k EASY...and then you'll have the next 3k all spent in your head and be HAPPY about it!!

As was mentioned above, Just Empty Every Pocket.

LOL! You should give David a call, he's super nice and very knowledgable.

I wouldn't do a leveling kit, I'd do a true lift, new wheels/tires with appropriate backspacing (or tires and spacers if you don't mind the spacers), and a rear tire carrier bumper to hold that new wheel/tire. I'm certain you could that with your budget.

Alternatively, you could buy me a winch and then pend the rest on our Jeep.

I'd suggest with some research on the net and the forums out there.
You'll want to spend it once, if you know what I mean.
No point spending $ on something you will want to remove later because it's
a bad match for what you want your vehicle to do or get yourself in trouble at
inspection time if you have to worry over such things there.

Having said that, I've had real good experiences with Rebel Offroad and Sierra Expeditions
for sourcing parts and advice.
