Default Help Needed Caster/Adjustable LCA settings

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it pointless to have adjustable lower control arms AND the AEV drop brackets?

Ok your LCA's should be the same length .. if one is 1.5 inches longer then the other then something is not set up right ... with 3.5 inches of lift your LCA's should be adjusted to 16 1/4 inches (roughly) you want you caster to be set at 6 degrees .. as for your drop brackets ...what are they on ? the track bar ? if so this is not for caster .. this is to keep the axle centered during suspension cycle .. and to stop bump steer .. Your track bar and tierod should be parallel ( on the same plane ) .. did you get new tires when you did the lift ? if so what size and what brand ? ..

You might want to make sure that the left and right upper control arms are in the same holes. The upper arm holes are to adjust the castor for different height lifts. You should not even be able to hook up lower arms that are 1 1/2 inches different. CM

Couldn't help but notice you on the AEV forum as well. If I were you, I'd take it to a competent 4X4 shop and get a second opinion. The drop brackets are meant to be used with stock control arms. Heck, I drove mine without the brakets for a week and it rode fine. It's a bolt-on kit, it doesn't require any additional tweaking besides straightening the steering wheel. The shop that did the install either messed up your vehicle or are complete dumbasses.

As mentioned before, the AEV drop brackets are designed to be used with the stock LCAs. If you have adjustable LCAs, remove the AEV drop brackets. A good starting point for the LCAs is 23" eye to eye to get your caster close to stock. They should be the same length or within a fraction of an inch. To be 1.5" different lengths seems impossible or something is definitely wrong with the install.

I find it strange you bought adj lower CAs and the uppers are still stock. Most common lift kits that include CAs provide front uppers.
It sounds like there's too many cooks in the kitchen on your problem and too many extra (possibly mismatched) parts.
