Default Help with new coil springs???

Hey fellow Jeep nuts. Here is my dilemma...currently running a 2012 JKU with RC 2.5" BB and stock Rubi wheels and tires with stock track bar. Brown Santa finally delivered my Rock Krawler 2.5" front and rear coils and I'm itching to get them on but have not decided on replacement shocks and haven't ordered my RK adjustable front track bar. Now to the question...Is there any harm in going ahead and installing the springs and adding the shocks and front track bar within the new 2 weeks when I get them in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I know you're itching to wrench but wouldn't it be a whole lot easier to do it all at once when you have everything taken apart? I'd say wait until you have all the parts.

^ He is right. Unless you dont mind taking everything apart twice. I wouldn't wheel it w/o the longer shocks.

I know you both are right and that's what I'll end up doing probably. Definitely won't wheel it without the shocks or track bar installed but hate waiting to get to work on it. Appreciate the responses...thanks.

considering it is so easy to swap shocks and track bar I would go ahead and put the coils in now and wait until you get the rest later. It will not hurt anything. Might want to drill your pads for the bump stops tho while you have the coils out.

In your opinion would there be any risk in running just the coils for a week or so? I agree, the shocks and track bar are a quick install, just want to make sure I avoid any issues but would rather go ahead and get the coils on.

as long as you are not going to max them out off road. lots of 2.5" lifts do not do anything to address the stock track bar and your rubicon shocks are nearly as long as many shocks designed for 2" lifts so I can not see how it would be an issue unless maxed out.

No plans to be off road until everything is in. Think I will go ahead and throw the coils in this week and just wait for the other parts to arrive. Hope this will all compensate for the Warn front bumper and winch I installed last week. Thanks again

With 2.5" RK coils is it necessary to replace the track bar?

From what I can tell it is not necessary but I decided to go ahead and upgrade while I was at it. And the 20% off through Northridge didn't hurt.
