I saw a picture of the new Airaid CAI installed in a 2012. Looks really good and people say they can feel a difference in power. If you wheel a lot you may want to get a exhaust that provides more clearance. You will likely feel same amount of power increase. If it was me and I could only get one it would be the exhaust.

I think an exhaust that provides more clearance would provide the most bang for the buck.

For some reason a lot of Jeepers dis CAI and say they aren't worth it, but really I love mine. I earned a bit better MPG (like 1) and a bit more HP. I also have an exhaust which isn't as much of a performance upgrade but it sounds great (which the CAI gives a nice rumble too). I have an AFE CAI and MBRP off road exhaust (high tuck for clearence). Great combo! I would recommend both!

IMO I would go with the Cold Air Intake, depending on which kit you buy it's going to be cheaper or about the same as a new exhaust, it with give you more power on your acceleration, and the sound you will get is enough to satisfy your needs for awhile. I have both CAI and Cat-back exhaust in my jeep, but the first thing I installed was the CAI. I took it for a test drive right after and couldn't get over the difference in just the sound it makes when sucking in air, and the acceleration boost was substantial.
