Default Help picking next mod!

So i got around $300 to burn

I have narrowed it done to two items.....

1- Engo 9000 winch (cable)

2- AEV snorkel

Which should i get? I see the need for a winch. And they currently have some good deals on these for as low as $265 shipped. And it got some great reviews. Might save my butt from being stuck one day.

I also see the need for a snorkel. I love to play in the mud and hydro locking my new jeep scares the poop out of me. So maybe its safe insurance....

What do you guys think. I think the hard time im having is the fact that the snorkel is over $100 bucks more for a damn piece of plastic and a few brackets then a good reviewed winch.... that kinda makes me And AEV price locks there already over priced stuff so you cant use a discount member code on it to make it a little more easy to swallow....

I would go with the winch. unless you are driving in DEEP water, then go with the snorkel. but you might need the winch to get out of the deep water. A snorkel doesnt help much when you are sitting on the frame in mud.

Between the 2, I'd go with the winch.

Default Winch or Snorkel?

Personally, I'd go with the winch. One doesn't often just happen to find him/herself in deep water and you should check the depth first, but the unexpected foray into Stuckville happens a bit more often and generally unexpectedly. Until the winch comes in, keep a snatch-rope handy.

Just a little logic: if you will be wheeling in places where you need a snorkel, then you probably need a winch. Not good to have water running over the hood and no winch to get you out.

I agree with everyone else, go with a winch.

X2 Go with the winch. You know the saying..." Better to have and not need...."
