Default Help! Problem with MBRP install !!

I am installing an MBRP installer series exhaust on a 2011 JKU. Anyone with experience with these systems feel free to chime in.....So, the part that doesnt seem right is where the tailpipe inserts into the muffler, the tailpipe fits very loosely into the muffler, so much so that tightening the overlying clamp doesnt help. Does that make sense? It almost seems like it has to be welded? I dont know if this is common or not. Any input is welcome. Tried calling MBRP but no answer

It should fit when the clamps are tightened down. Pm mbrp tech 1 and he can help out. You could take it to an exhaust shop and have them stretch the pipe out to fit.

I had the same problem. You have to really torque on it to get it tight. Mine still had leaks so I just welded it.
