Default HELP Problem with Winch

Bought the ENGO e10000s winch from Jeep Accessories, Jeep Wrangler Accessories, Jeep Bumpers, Jeep Winches, Fender Flares - Truckaddons.com and got their great forum price. Purchased last Thursday around 2pm and had it at my doorstep on Saturday; crazy fast shipping very happy with that. Opened everything up today to start the install.

1st) I was missing the bolt that goes on the bottom of the winch that you use for the black 2 gauge black from the battery and black 12 gauge wire from the solenoid. No big deal just went to Lowes and picked up another one.

2nd) Heres the real problem, I hooked everything up and went to test it. It winches out but does not winch in. The motor is making a sound but doesn't retract the rope. Did I get a bad solenoid? I don't think I hooked anything up wrong since it works to winch out. HELP PLEASE.

I had the same thing happening on my mile marker. Ended up tearing apart my remote and had a bad contact inside. But I bought mine used and it was 4 years old. I would contact them and see what they will do for you.

From my understanding it's not an electrical issue since the motor seems to work when you push the button to line in.
With the clutch disengaged you can winch out and you can even winch back if it's not under load.
Did you have it under load when you tried to winch back in?? If so I'd try without load and see if it works.

With the clutch disengaged I can pull the line out and even turn the drum manually to reel the line back in. When the clutch is engaged it works for the line out but not for the line in, even under no load.
