i want to do it but prices are rediculous and trying to see if iit is possible to do it myself or have somebody else do it instead of paying 4 wheel parts 700 bucks to do it

I think most on here will agree that gears aren't usually a DIY-friendly operation. I know of a couple guys in our local club who tear into them on the older Jeeps, but even with their help I'm not sure I would want to tackle it.
