Default Help With Rhino Clearcoat Powder-coating

I have a 17 JKU in Rhino clear coat and I want to get my fenders powder-coated instead of painting, but I am having a hard time trying to find a color that matches my body color. Any help would be great.

I've seen plenty of armor and bumpers coated and painted. If you want a good color match, I'd say just paint it. the biggest upside to painting is being able to touch it up if need be. There's nothing more aggravating than tiny bit of damage on a powder coated item that you can't simply touch up. Also, it's going to be monumentally harder to get a match with powder coating. I think if powder coating, you almost have to go with a two-toned look like I have.....anthracite against billet silver is what I did. I only went the powder coating route due to $$$$. I have a connection and can get things coated dirt cheap, although it is inconvenient to do still due to location.

Do you know what color would match besides just the 5 Oz touch up paint?

There are a lot of auto spray paint makers now that color match. I've used this company before -

Just like any shop painting anything, the color is pretty close, but unless you go blending things in, it's not 100% perfect. I've used it on a Ford's metallic maroon color and it was close enough for my use. If i was painting a bare bumper, and didn't want to pony up hundreds to have a pro do it, I'd say this might be a decent option, but just like any job, the outcome depends on your ability and your prep work combined with good primer, paint, and clear.

I have seen a lot of this stuff painted by professional shops (like rocker and quarter panel armor) and the jeeps looked nice. The armor blended right in. If you off road or tend to bump things, something that can be touched up is definitely optimal.

Thanks resharp001 I will definitely look at that website. It does make sense to be able to touch up after some rock rash...😉
