Help!: Serious engine issues after cleaning
So today i had some downtime and decided to clean my viper throttle body and k&n cold air intake cone filter. I purchased everything necressary to properly clean both the filter and the TB.
When i reinstalled everything, the engine violently shook. The CAI sounded like it was sucking in way too much air, the exhaust sputtered and the jeep shook violently. I let it run for a minute but had to shut it off in fear of something worse happening. . I turned it on and off a couple times and finally after letting it sit for about 30 seconds, it began to run normal. I took it for a ride around the block and after i floored it once, the dash lit up and I wasn't able to accelerate.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what could have possibly happened?
Thanks in advance

Did you oil up your air filter element after you cleaned it ? I assume you did if it's a K&N. If the filter has been over oiled it can suck the access oil into your intake sensors and mess up the readings. They sell specialized cleaner for sensors at most auto stores if you think this might be the case. Another thing to check would be any sensors with loose connections. Might even disconnect the battery and let the computer reset everything and then start it back up and let it idle for a while learning the new airflow characteristics. This would be the last step if you checked everything else first.

Any thoughts?
BTW, the JK has no mass air flow sensor.

thanks for all the help. I missed a post before that mentioned over oiling the filter. i think its possible that i did oil it too much. Would i need a new air sensor or any other sensor?
turns out ronjenx was right about that connector. unplugged it, plugged it back in, cleared my codes and re read and everything is working great now!
thanks for all the help!
