Default Help with Tire Choice...

I have the new RC 2.5 Coil lift and saving up for wheel and tires for my 08 Sahara Unlimited. I am torn between running something like a more aggressive looking 33( Cooper STT) or a less agressive 35 ( Pro Comp X AT). It's my DD and will see mostly pavement. I have 3.73 Gears w 6 Spd, Don't feel like changing gears if I don't have to $$...Opinions ? I also have a restored CJ7 w 35 Mt's I am either gonna keep or sell soon....Opinions??

My opinion is the 33" Copper STT would look and function better with that lift.

Goodyear has a new tire that may just be what you're looking for! It's called the Dura Track:

You may not like the power loss with the 35". The Dura comes in a 33"!

the procomp xterme a/t is a great tire. good on road manners, yet still fairly aggressive in the dirt. that would be my pick for a daily driven rig.

The 33 Procomps are nice, but jut don't look beefy enough for my taste. There is a guy at my work with the Green sahara running them and has the wider fenders and it looks like he needs bigger tires They are really only 32.5's I think, but wider then stock... The STT's come in a true 33x12.50 I think and look bigger because of the tread pattern. The new Goodyears look nice as well, but no reviews and they are not out at local dealers yet. I just hope they ride nice and do well in rain and light snow. Anyone have pics with the 33x12.50 STT's?

If you don't want to regear I would stick with the 33's. I have found the Cooper ST to be a good choice on and off-road, it has a little better road charicteristics than the STT but still has plenty of traction on the trail.
