Default help on wheel size

Guys, I read numerous tread on wheel size and i got confused. here is my question:

Does a 17 by 8 inches with BS of 4.5 and offset of zero will fit a a 2 doors wrangler X. My tire dealer wasn't sure if the tire will stick out too much.

My tire are 255 75R17.

I would appreciate any comments on this one.

thanx for your time

Frank

You will be fine and be close to flush. I have 17 X9 with 4.5 BS and wider tires 11.5 or roughly 285-290/70-17 and mine stick out about 1.25 inches past flares. Additionally, mine are not stock style/brand - tread type matters in the appearence of how far they stick out. You will be fine.
