Default help on wheels

im all stock right now but just got the money for a lift tires and now i need wheels ill be running the TF 2.5" coils with shocks, the GY MTR/k 35x12.5R17 (as recomended) and now im looking for wheels could some one please direct me to some wheels and i also need to know measurement for the tires i got i heard i need to run 17" wheels and need at least 4.5" bksp. pls help

4.5" back spacing is probably the most you want with a 12.5 tire. As for width, GY recommends 8.5-11 for that tire, so I'd say you're better with a 9" wheel. I've seen 35x12.5's on 15" wheels at 8" wide, but there's more rubber there to work.

I'm on 16 x 8, but only 11.5" wide tires.

i found some 17x9 at 130 each are those good for the tires im getting or should i get 17x8 the back spacing is 4.75

How do you plan on driving it? I got a similar setup that you are running and am very happy. Tera 2.5 coil and running 4.5 back spacing on my procomps. I went with the 8 width on the rims. I went a little smaller because I was a little concerned with slipping a bead but I hit the trail hard.

those are actually the same wheels im looking at.. so 17x8? and what do you mean by slipping a bead?

o and its a daily driver but i trail ride and mudd looking to do more tuff terain hince the lift and the tires

Having a "thinner" wheel will put a little more pressure on the bead when aired up or down. That, in theory, will help keep the bead in, so you don't pop a bead and your tire comes off the wheel.

So with JayHawk's post above, looks like you'll be fine with 17x8.
