Default Help with Winch Purchase

Afternoon everyone. I have searched through 6 pages of threads, but still left wondering what winch to buy. I have a 2008 JK Unlimited. I do have aftermarket front and rear bumpers (rear coming in mail soon). I would really like a winch that can handle or already comes with a synthetic line. I will be using this for self-recovery mostly. I don't do a lot of wheeling so I'm not looking for an over the top, high end unit.

Any thoughts?

PS leaning towards new Warn M8000s or Rugged Ridge.

I have the Warn 9.5ti and love it. However, either winch should do well for you.

I like Warn and SuperWinch, but that is my preference. I don't have any experience with the Rugged Ridge. I think Warn is starting to offer synthetic line instead of forcing you to purchase steel cable and then pay an additional cost to put synthetic line on it. SuperWinch gives you the option to buy their winch with synthetic line at the start, so you don't need to buy steel cable at all.

I don't believe so, but I could be wrong.

I want an EP SuperWinch, but it won't fit in my Shorckworks front bumper.

What size do you have and what kind of pulling have you done?

I'm not sure of the size difference, if any, but have you looked at the Talon SuperWinches. I know EP is a good winch. I think Talon is a little more expensive, but it might fit for you.
